UsKids4Water is an organization led by youth ranging from elementary to high school. Their mission is to raise awareness on issues related to water, environment and education that impact communities. To support the community through the pandemic, USKids4Water had organized the COVID-19 Candle Fundraiser where volunteers made, sold and delivered candles to raise funds to support local organizations that were rendering critical services to the community. Aram Sei matched the funds raised to double the impact of their effort. The funds will be distributed to 3 organizations in the Chicago area to tackle challenges brought about by COVID-19
Dupage Pads – Provides housing for homeless in the Chicago area
Pride ROC – Supporting the community to cope with and overcome poverty
Alive Center – Run by teens for teens to navigate challenges in social and academic settings
The funds will allow the organizations to continue their services by being able to afford the necessary precautions needed to curb the spread of COVID-19 and also support families with necessities that they are unable to obtain otherwise.
