Vidhya Navalpakkam is a senior researcher at Google AI, where she leads an interdisciplinary team at the intersection of Computer Science, Neuroscience and Psychology. Her work helps Google Search and Assistant provide the best answers to user requests. Prior to Google, she was a researcher at Yahoo Research where she analyzed and modeled user attention at web scale. Before beginning a career in the industry, she worked on modeling attention mechanisms in the brain as a researcher at California Institute of Technology, and during her PhD at University of Southern California. She has a bachelors in computer science from IIT Kharagpur, India.
Outside work, she enjoys nature walks, watching animation movies with her family, and is involved with charities for childhood cancer.

Balaji Natarajan works as a senior Manager at Velodyne LiDAR and manages the Digital Systems Engineering team. He spent 19 years at Intel learning various skills and managing multiple teams before joining a startup Velodyne earlier this year. Throughout his 20 year career, his primary motivation has been curiosity and thirst to learn every day. Balaji holds multiple patents in FPGA architecture and memory testing. Balaji brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in system design and integration, customer experience and product testing.
Balaji has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering and an Associate Degree in Computer Science. He arrived in the USA to pursue his Master’s in Electrical Engineering at University of South Florida.

Siva Subramanian is a Senior Director of Engineering at Box, a leading cloud content management company. He heads the security and compliance products group that’s responsible for building critical products and features to help manage and protect customers file content. Before Box, Siva was a Principal Engineer at Yahoo!, where he was a part of the Advertising group. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Anna University, India.
Outside work, he loves spending time with his family, mentoring engineers and engineering leaders, reading and watching sports. Recently, during COVID shelter-in-place, he has picked up running (5Ks) and HIIT workouts.

Smitha Prasad was a Pre-Med major who graduated from St Mary’s College in Moraga CA, before moving into technology. She got a Masters in Telecommunications from Cal State Hayward, CA. With her love for problem solving, her initial trepidations of dealing with multiple fields gave way to building a strong career in technology. She started as a software engineer at multiple network security companies and has grown to become a tech leader who enjoys creating products and builds high performance teams. She currently manages an engineering team at F5 networks, focused on network management in security.
