Chudar’s primary mission is to improve the quality of education for underprivileged kids. With a focus on low-income kids, their program reaches over 5000 kids in Chennai’s slums.
They run many after school learning centers where kids are provided food and education. In addition, working with various government schools they circulate a “chudar school kits” to school teachers that enable them to further help impart better education.
After COVID, they prioritized providing essentials like groceries, masks and sanitaries to the families of daily wage workers who are struggling to make ends meet. Many of these families who have no houses, no money to buy food and no public transportation are bearing the brunt of economic hardships created by the COVID shutdown and need help from us to survive through this disaster.
