Passion. Most highschoolers don’t really know what their passion even is. Aadhya, however, has always known her true passion lies in the arts.

Aadhya’s passion is Carnatic music. She hopes to be a professional musician in the field when she’s older, but right now, she’s been busy with several performances since Margazhi season began. While Aadhya mostly participates in Carnatic classical music, she has also been involved in cinema music! This interest led her to compete in the Aram Sei signature event, Sing In Place, for which she won 1st place last year! She is also a talented Bharatnatyam dancer, and enjoys other forms of art such as graphic design and digital content making.

Aadhya’s love for the arts extends beyond her passion. She finds it the most integral part of who she is. She explains, “I feel like singing is like the only thing I’ve been consistently involved in and it’s what makes me super happy and excited. I just want it to be the center of my life. It’s what drove me to make the decision, as of now, that I don’t really want to go into a 9 to 5 job that’s just repetitive. I want to do something in which I’m constantly learning and growing, and I find that comes for me through music.” She also finds the arts as something she’s been doing as long as she can remember and that makes it her escape from reality. She took her passion even further by joining Carnatic violin, which she finds a big factor in her improvement as a performer. She even learns guitar! When she isn’t singing, dancing, or playing her instruments, Aadhya also plays basketball. One of Aadhya’s pillars is that she wants to live her life to fullest and a big part of that is being a musician!

In her own words, Aadhya is determined, outgoing, and selfless. She finds herself someone determined as she holds pretty high standards for herself, which motivates her to achieve the things she sets her mind to. She finds herself outgoing as she’s a huge extrovert and selfless because she is always happy to help others no matter what. One thing Aadhya thinks not a lot of people know about her is that she is not at all a people pleaser. She finds herself as someone who is true to herself, and doesn’t take other people’s opinions unless they have the entitlement to do so.

To Aadhya, “helping others” is advocacy. She hopes to be in the place when she is older in which she can use her voice to help others who don’t. She strongly believes that people are responsible for using their influence and platforms to spread good for the world.

For the last several months, Aadhya has been serving as Aram Sei’s wonderful media intern! For Aadhya, the internship was a huge learning experience. For her, the fact that she was benefitting from learning at the internship while other people were benefitting from the work she was doing, was very fulfilling. In specific, “I was super blessed to have my amazing mentor, Vinod Uncle, and he was super helpful with everything from editing questions I had to just general advice on things. I also had so much fun working with the other interns and we had so many fun times planning everything and working on different projects together. The collaboration part of the internship was something I really will always cherish.” She also really values the things she learned about working on projects through the Youth Drive the interns organized. “I’m also much more confident in my abilities through the skills I learned in the internship. Everything from just conducting meetings, to producing video content, to organizing entire events, I feel more confident that I can do all those things through everything I learned in the internship,” she adds.

It has been such a pleasure hosting Aadhya as an intern here at Aram Sei, and we have loved seeing her creativity and unique strengths! We look forward to seeing all the amazing things Aadhya accomplishes in the future!
