We asked our Fall Cohort Interns to share one word they would use to describe their Aram Sei internship experience. Read on below for their responses.

Sandhya Padmanabhan, Marketing Intern:

“Thoroughness”

One of the things I learned from my time as an intern at Aram Sei was the importance of being thorough. When I worked on projects at Aram Sei, I realized how crucial it was that I make sure all of my work was detailed and that I was taking my time and putting all of my effort into the work. Being thorough also means that you pay more attention to details, you learn more, and you work harder. All of these skills are useful for any work you might do in the future, which is why I would advise students to apply for this internship.

Ananya Balaji, Volunteer Engagement Intern:

“Working on projects”:

One skill I found valuable was learning what it is like to work in a project based environment. I learned a lot about project management, organization, and expansion through working on the Aram Sei Youth Drive and the Activating Youth Project. These skills can be applied to pretty much anything you do, as it encompasses a lot of other valuable soft skills like time management. For these reasons, I would recommend any high schooler to apply for the internship!

Maya Sriram, Finance Intern:

“Synergy”

Synergy is defined as the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects. Teamwork wasn’t one of my favorite things before Aram Sei; I used to prefer working alone. However, after working with my excellent fellow interns on projects such as the Youth Drive and the very collage you are looking at right now, it showed me how the efforts of individual people, when combined effectively, can create an end product greater than the sums of each independent piece of work. Join our network at Aram Sei – the more people who contribute their energy to this system, the more mindblowing the final product will be and the more we’ll each learn from the process and each other!
