Performing Arts Center, Mt. Pleasant High School, 1750 S White Road, San Jose, CA 95127
The event will have a beautiful presentation in English based on SOLFA creations’ acclaimed animation, on the life and work of the Saint. His compositions will be presented live on stage by students of Trinity Center of Music who have been classically trained by Smt. Anuradha Sridhar. The roots of Carnatic music can be traced back to the 12th century. Mrs. Anuradha Sridhar’s knowledge comes from Saint Thyagaraja, considered one of the best Carnatic musicians of his time. Mrs. Anuradha Sridhar’s great-great-grandfather was a direct disciple of Thyagaraja.
Inspired by Aram Sei’s annual signature event, SPARK – Compete for a cause, Mrs. Anuradha Sridhar decided to partner with Aram Sei to present this Celebration of Saint Thyagaraja. Her students will also participate in an Aram Sei organized volunteer day at a local school in San Jose that has children attending from low income families.
Aram Sei is a registered 501 (c ) (3) non-profit organization, supporting grassroots charities worldwide doing work in areas of education and health care.
