Aram Sei Fall’21 Cohort

Aditi Natarajan is a freshman at Dublin High School. Aditi is a student of Carnatic music and is a part of the school orchestra. In her free time, she enjoys doing calligraphy and reading books. In addition, Aditi mentors students in her music school in both theory and practical concepts, related to music certification courses. Aditi is excited to be a part of Aram Sei’s spring internship program, and looks forward to learning and working with others and being a volunteer intern!

Hi, I am Arya Vijaya Kumar and I am an 8th grader at Union middle School. I am passionate about playing volleyball, I play on the varsity team in my school and I am a player for Bay to Bay volleyball club. I am part of the symphonic band as a percussionist and I enjoy performing for the marching band.I took up taekwondo from a young age and got my black belt a year ago. I love volunteering for charitable causes and last year I was happy that I was able to help Aram Sei with the funds I raised through various activities. I am looking forward to being a part of the Aram Sei interns team and helping out the community as much as possible.

Ashwin Vaidyanathan (he/him) is a 7th grader at William Hopkins Junior High School in Fremont, CA. He likes to make and edit short films. He is looking forward to using his skills in filming, editing, and fundraising to help raise awareness for charitable causes. Ashwin also has fundraising experience, and raised over two thousand dollars for a non-profit in India which helps educate low-income and rural students. Ashwin loves running, and as part of the fundraising efforts, at ages 10 and 11, ran the San Francisco Half Marathon twice as well as many other races. Ashwin is also a member of the Boy Scouts of America, and has done fundraising work as a member. His other interests are Carnatic Music (Indian Classical vocal music) and swimming. Ashwin is really looking forward to putting his skills to use in his first internship ever!

Hrishikesh Anand is a Sophomore at Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Oregon. He is currently 15 years old. This year is unique as it’s the first year he has moved out of California. Currently, he is taking an Aerospace engineering course at the Airport. Yes, engineering is his passion and math accompanies it. When he grows up he wants to be an aerospace engineer and his dream college is UCLA.

“Life would be tragic if it weren’t funny” by Stephen Hawking is my favorite quote. His mind thinks about volleyball when he wants to relax. His hobbies are listening to music and playing guitar.

Krithika Muralidhar is currently a sophomore at Dublin High School. In her free time, she loves to read books and is especially fond of topics related to historical and science fiction. She also enjoys playing and listening to various genres of music. At school, she plays the violin, alto saxophone, and oboe, and is a part of the orchestra and marching band. Outside of school, she is an avid music student of South Indian Classical vocal and violin. Krithika is looking forward to continuing with Aram Sei and contributing to its initiatives. 

Lalit Narayan Kovvuri is a seventh-grader at Chaboya Middle school. He enjoys doing math and has participated in and won several math competitions. I received the George Lenchner award twice (2019 and 2021) for getting perfect scores in Math Olympiad. He also got an achievement roll in AMC 8. Apart from math, he participates in Science Olympiad and speech and debate competitions. Outside of academics, he loves playing the violin (Carnatic & Western) and mridangam (percussion). Some of his other hobbies include learning about cars, reading novels, and playing basketball with his friends.

Maya Sriram is a 14 year old entrepreneur, studying at Basis Independent Silicon Valley.  Maya started her first business selling hand-made mini notebooks for a small profit and running summer camps for kids in her neighborhood. She generates new ideas at home, at school and seemingly at all times in between. She’s a uniquely talented public speaker, musician, stand-up comedian and has won several coding, math, science, speech/debate and spelling competitions at a national level. She’s also a party planner and has hosted many parties for multiple occasions. She was a part of the National Junior Honor Society and tutored peers on various subjects. She
earned the President’s Volunteer Service Award Bronze Medal.

Nikhil Kanchi is a sophomore at Lynbrook High School who loves math, science, and programming. He is an avid squash player who picked up guitar and keyboard during the pandemic. When he is not at school or on the squash court, Nikhil plays all of the newest video games. In the beginning of the pandemic, Nikhil kept himself busy by assembling a gaming PC from scratch. During the pandemic, Nikhil utilized gaming and social tools as an outlet to keep in touch with his friends. Aside from these activities, Nikhil enjoys teaching Rubik’s cube techniques, Taekwondo, and math to other kids. Nikhil is passionate about building his own hardware that is efficient, powerful, emits zero carbon footprint, and is affordable for underprivileged kids across the world.

Sandhya Padmanabhan is a 9th grader at Lynbrook High School. Her hobbies include singing Carnatic music, playing piano, and debating. In her free time, she enjoys reading and watching T.V. When she grows up, she wants to work in healthcare or law. She joined Aram Sei because her goals align with their mission of educating youth about giving back, spreading awareness about grassroots charities, and healthcare. She was also previously an intern at Aram Sei. She learned a lot from this experience and wants to continue learning and giving back. 

Vasavi Suresh is 14 years old and is a current freshman in high school. Some of her interests include sewing, sketching, and cooking.

As a certifying organization with the Presidential Volunteer Service Award program, Aram Sei seeks to enable students from elementary through high school with their volunteer efforts.

Ananya Balaji is currently a freshman at American High School. She is a passionate music student, and she also enjoys competing in speech and robotics. Ananya participates in advocacy for positive change in her community. In addition, she is interested in pursuing a future in the fields of technology and business.

Aram Sei Fall’20 Cohort

Our Fall’20 internship program started September’20. Read on below to learn more about our interns in this cohort.

Aadhya Sridharan is a sophomore at Mountain Ridge High School, located in Phoenix, Arizona. She loves to work with new technologies, and aspires to learn more about how to use them in effectively giving back to society. Aadhya looks forward to learning more about designing websites, creating new graphic designs, and acquiring more working knowledge about video editing. Aadhya’s other interests are singing Indian classical music (Carnatic), dancing, playing the violin and guitar. She also enjoys playing basketball. Aadhya has also been actively involved in volunteering at the Arizona Tamil School, run by the Arizona Tamil Sangam. She also teaches dance to the beginners at Nrithyalaya Dance Academy LLC, Phoenix, AZ. Aadhya is excited to be a part of the Aram Sei Internship program this fall and make a contribution to their initiatives!

This year is unique with the pandemic and remote learning around. In middle school he took engineering as my elective and is planning to continue Project Lead The Way throughout his high school years. Outside of school, she learns South Indian Classical vocal and violin. She is excited to be an intern at Aram Sei because she believes in doing her part in making a positive difference in the world.

She enjoys being part of her school debate team, competitive swimming, singing classical music, and playing the piano. She is also an avid mystery novel reader. Her favorite author is Mike Omer.
